david lough
president & ceo
David is a graduate of Green High School and went on to play Baseball and Football at Mercyhurst College. He was then drafted in the 11th round of the 2007 MLB draft by the Kansas City Royals, and made his Major League debut in 2012 against the Minnesota Twins and finished the year 8th in the American League Rookie of the Year voting. David played several more years with the Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies all while opening The Warehouse in 2014.
after his playing career, David Went on to open the warehouse training & performance in 2016 to provide state-of-the-art training for athletes to help them achieve their goal of playing at the next level. he then used his outlet in the baseball world to establish the warehouse warkats summer baseball team in 2023.
mitch balla
head of operations/17u Coach
mitch balla is a 2016 graduate and 2x federal league & 2x district champion in baseball at jackson high school. after his high school career, mitch continued his baseball & academic career at notre dame college from 2016-2020 where he was a 3x all mec academic team award winner. while playing at ndc, mitch double majored in communications and public relations as well as minoring in coaching.
over the last 4 years, mitch has remained on the diamond as a coach, spending the 2020 season as an assistant coach for the brownlee lookouts, two following seasons as the head coach of the 15 & 16u jackson summer ball teams before coming to lead the first ever warkats team, as well as becoming part of the warehouse training & performance team. mitch has a career coaching record of 61-39-3 and has continued to help players progress at every level. mitch is also a assistant baseball coach at Akron Hoban high school.
nico marchetti
head of player development/14u coach
nico marchetti is a 2015 graduate and 2x all-state baseball player of st. vincent palloti high school in laurel, maryland. from 2015-2019 he was awarded a scholarship to attend california university of pennsylvania to play baseball. in his senior season, nico was 2nd team all psac, lead the conference in triples, rbi’s, and helped lead his team to the most single season wins in program history.
over the last 3 years, nico has been giving individual hitting lessons to players of all ages, along with leading player development for jackson high school baseball and youth programs. he continues to give lessons out of velocity sports and the warehouse training & performance.
joe corcelli
recruiting coordinator & pitching coach
Joe has been a pitcher his entire career and comes from a very successful background of pitching in his family. Joe was a three-time varsity letter winner in HS and then went on to continue his baseball career at Lakeland Community College (JUCO) after high school.
along with becoming the pitching development coach for the warkats, joe interns with the cleveland guardians, as well as a part-time employee for pbr. he brings a high level of pitching instruction as well the connections he has within pbr (ohio) and the sport of baseball.
nick lemay
head of strength & conditioning
Nick studied exercise physiology with a minor in sports nutrition at Kent State University and is a certified trainer under the National Council on Strength & Fitness. He began his career from 2017-2018 at Spire Performance in Geneva, Ohio training multiple athletes from the youth to collegiate level, as well as training veterans from the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA for multiple Paralympic Events. He then worked under Mike Winkler, Head Strength & Conditioning Coach at Archbishop Hoban High School in Akron from 2018-2019, where he developed programs for Swimming and Track, and assisted in the training of multiple sports.
nick has since been a strength & Conditioning coach at the warehouse, and for the last few years has worked with dozens of athletes and teams from all sports across northeast ohio, and was brought on to the warkats organization to offer those same benefits to the players.
